The diva returns with her new album, just in time for a brand new year. It's her first album since 2002's This Is Me... Then. And after so much publicity surrounding her relationship with Ben Affleck and recent marriage to Marc Anthony, J.Lo will certainly be glad to have something else to talk about.

The new album includes the brand new single Get Right, which will also be her first single from this new compilation. It debuted on MTV on New Year's Eve and the video followed on 6 January 2005. J.Lo has actually sold over 35 million records worldwide since her debut CD, On The 6, in 1999.

The album has been produced by Jennifer herself and her collaborator Cory Rooner. This new offering, her fourth studio album, also features a range of guest spots such as rapper Fabolous on an alternative version of Get Right. Other guest include Fat Joe as well as her Latin crooner husband. Tracks include I Got You, Step Into My World, Still Around, Hold You Down, This Is Me and Cherry Pie.

It's a very funky offering and the guest spots add a little something. The tracks are of good quality, none too memorable but with more of an edge than usual. You Got Me appears to be J.Lo's public statement regarding media attention as it focuses on her marriage and how the outside world is wholly unconnected to it. Step Into My World is another musical attempt to introduce J.Lo's life to her fans - although her previous single Jenny From The Block failed on that account. However, J.Lo's vocals are impressive and strong, giving the songs much more clout. It's a solid attempt by the Latin star to get back to music and away from the gossip columns.
